PROJECT: MEMORIAL PARK TRAIL IMPROVEMENT AND RECONSTRUCTION PROJECTS Drawings and Specifications have been prepared by McMahon Associates, 1445 McMahon Drive, Neenah, WI 54956. Attn: Ben Hamblin, PE. Work consists of 530 SY of asphalt trail pulverizing and repaving, 700 SY of asphalt trail paving, 450 LF of storm sewer, 340 SY of various concrete pavement removals and replacements, 600 SY of asphalt parking lot reconstruction, and 6000 SY of lawn regrading and restoration. A pre-bid conference has been scheduled beginning at 11:00AM. on THURSDAY, AUGUST 12TH, 2021 at 1620 E Witzke Blvd, Appleton WI 54911, located at the Jones Building adjacent to the softball diamonds. No bid will be opened unless the "Bidders Proof of Responsibility" for 2021 is filed in the office of the City Clerk not later than FRIDAY, AUGUST 13TH, 2021. Forms are included in specifications and are also available at the office of the City Clerk. Reference is made to 66.0901 Wisconsin Statutes. Sales Tax Exemption: Pursuant to 77.54(9m) certain items purchased by the contractor for this project may be subject to sales tax exemption and, in such cases, contractor shall not pay nor charge the City for said taxes. Bidder will be required to have Performance Bond/Labor and Material Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the Contract. Cost of Bond shall be included in Bid. No bid shall be received unless accompanied by a bid bond equal to five percent of the bid, payable to the City as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within 10 days from the date the lowest responsible bidder's bid is accepted. If the bidder fails to file such contract and bond within the time set by the City, the check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the City as liquidated damages. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to accept any bid deemed for the best interests of the City and to waive any informalities in the bidding.
