The Project consists of milling of various roads, totaling approximately 79,877 square yards. Bidding Documents are available at no cost. A certified check or bank draft made payable to the order Upper Moreland Township or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the bidder and acceptable surety, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount shall be submitted with each bid. Bonds are to be issued by a surety licensed to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond and Labor & Materials Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract and a Maintenance Bond in the amount of 10 percent (10%) of the Contract. Bidders are required to comply with the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act of 1961, P.L. 987, No. 442, where the estimated cost of the total project is in excess of twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000). Attention is called to the fact that the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their gender, race, creed or color. The Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bidding, when in the opinion of the Township, such rejectors or waivers shall be in its interest or advantage.
