Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a parking garage in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the addition of a 27,600-square-foot, two-story above grade parking garage; for the demolition of a parking garage; for the renovation of a 104,624-square-foot, four-story above grade parking garage; and for site work for a parking garage.
As of April 25, 2019, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. Project consists of, but not limited to the following: Demolition of existing building Note: Owner shall conduct asbestos survey and abatement of existing building prior to GC demolition start Selective demolition of existing garage elements such as overhead coiling door, and concrete median Site Improvements Construction of addition to existing parking Garage with a 2-level parking garage (Grade plus one structured level) - 91 Spaces, (2) Additional spaces added in existing garage via striping Removal of existing power pole and associated electrical relocation work (See Alternates). Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 5 percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 90 days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. 2/21/19 - All Questions Due (3pm) 2/28/19 - Bid Addenda Posted Bidders shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the Contract Time. BIDDER'S QUALIFICATIONS Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, a separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder. Bidders must submit with their bid a qualifications statement that responds to the following: List any projects that defaulted on the time of a contract and explanation. List any litigation related to a construction contract over the last 10 years. List any contracts within the past 10 years that exceeded the base bid by 10% or more and provide a description as to why the contract was over.
