Project consists of rerouting BSB condensate piping. New polypropylene (PP-RCT) condensate piping will be installed from the BSB basement, through BSB mezzanines and utility tunnels, and into the existing CCOM utility tunnel. New stainless steel condensate piping will be also installed within the CCOM tunnel. Installation of Owner-provided flow meter. Iowa Construction Sales Tax Exemption Certificates will be provided on this project This project establishes a new condensate return path from the Bowen Science Building (BSB) through the Carver College of Medicine (CCOM) utility tunnel to Steam Vault F1. Bid shall be accompanied by bid security, as set forth in the Instructions to Bidders. Bid security shall be agreed upon as the measure of liquidated damages which the Owner will sustain by failure, neglect, or refusal of bidder to deliver a signed contract stipulating performance of the Work in unqualified compliance with the Contract Documents. Successful bidder will be required to furnish a 100% Contract Performance and Payment Bond within ten (10) days after receipt of Notice of Award.
