Barton Malow Company Bid Proposals on behalf of Towson University for the construction and renovation of the Union Building Proposals must be sealed with Bidders name on the outside of the envelope and designated as follows: Sealed Proposal Towson University - University Union Bid Package No. 4 Bid Category: Contractor Name, Address, Phone Number Sealed proposals shall include; 1. Hard copy of the bid form and ALL reference documentation. Include a flash drive with an electronic copy of all submitted information. 2. Proposals shall be based on the requirements set forth in the Project Manual by Barton Malow Company and contract and construction documents prepared by the Architect as indicated in the Table of Contents Precast Re-Bid Package A03.2 - Structural Precast Concrete A03.3 - Architectural Precast Concrete Barton Malow reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to replace Performance Bond and Payment Bond coverage with enrolment in its subcontractor default program. Unless otherwise specifically set forth in Section 0008800 of the Project Manual, this Project is subject to state sales and/or use taxes and Bidder is required to include such taxes in its Bid Proposal. Barton Malow Company has been contracted by the Owner in the capacity of Construction Manager for the Project, and as such has the rights and obligations set forth in its contract with the Owner for those services, and shall act as representative of the Owner to the extent required/allowed under its Owner contract. Bid Proposals will be opened by Barton Malow Company, evaluated by Barton Malow Company, Owner, and the Architect, with recommended awards subsequently made by Barton Malow Company. Questions from bidders shall be due to Barton Malow by 12:00 PM (noon), Wednesday, February 20, 2019. All RFIs shall be submitted on the RFI form included in the forms folder Bidders must be pre-qualified for this bid package by the Owner and Barton Malow Company before document distribution or receipt of bids per the Instructions to Bidders. The Owner and Barton Malow Company reserve the right to request qualification forms or additional information from any Bidder before issuing Bidding Documents, receiving Bid Proposals or awarding the Agreement. Barton Malow Company may elect to waive these requirements on a case by case basis at its sole discretion. Visitor parking is available at the campus parking garages, specifically the Union and Towsontown Garages. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early as parking is limited on campus. Bid Proposals shall be on forms furnished by Barton Malow Company in Section 0004000. Bidders will be required to submit with their Bid Proposals a Bid Security by a qualified surety authorized to do business in the state where the Project is located, an OSHA Form 300 for the most recent completed year, their workers compensation Experience Modification Rate (EMR) factor, and any other information required in the Instructions to Bidders. Bidders shall not withdraw Bid Proposals for a period of one hundred and fifty (150) days after date for receipt of Bid Proposals. The successful Bidder(s) will be required to enter into an agreement with Barton Malow Company on the Agreement Form identified in Section 0005000 of the Project Manual. The right to reject any or all Bid Proposals, either in whole or in part or to waive any informalities or irregularities therein is reserved by the Owner and/or Barton Malow Company.
