The State of Connecticut Department of Labor and all associated statutes and regulations shall govern labor wages on this project. The successful bidder shall comply with applicable state and local laws and the City of Hartford requirements. The successful bidder shall participate and comply with all applicable affirmative action, equal employment, non-discrimination and local hiring preferences established by the City of Hartford for application on this project. All bids shall be held open by bidders for a period of ninety (90) days. No bidder may withdraw their bid during that period. Bidders are reminded that Public Schools are exempt from Federal Excise Taxes as well as State of Connecticut Sales Tax to the extent allowed by law. ALL bidders will be required to furnish a 10% Bid Bond along with their bid. Performance and Payment Bonds (100%) will be required. Set Aside and Set Aside/PLA subcontractors will not be required to provide Bid Bonds or Performance and Payment Bonds.
