Site work for a civil project in Tacoma, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
** This project has been awarded to Pivetta Brothers Construction Inc. in the amount of $11,502,643. ** The successful bidder will be responsible for the installation of approximately 5,473 LF of 30-inch diameter HDPE sanitary sewer pipe, 289 LF of 12-inch diameter PVC pipe, 712 LF of 8-inch diameter PVC sanitary sewer pipe, 515 LF of 6-inch diameter PVC sanitary sewer pipe, 153 LF of 18-inch diameter PVC pipe inside a 36-inch steel casing, twenty-three (23) 72-inch HDPE sanitary sewer manholes, one (1) 48-inch corrosion resistant manhole, three (3) drop structures, two (2) force main connections, and other appurtenances. The bidder will also be responsible for decommissioning wells and an existing residential septic system. The work includes installing and maintaining erosion control BMPs, roadway excavation including removal and disposal of existing pavement and unwanted or excess materials encountered during execution of the project, traffic control, utility coordination, roadway restoration, and restoration of disturbed private property. The work also includes design, permitting, construction, operation, maintenance, and removal of temporary construction dewatering systems as necessary to complete the installation of the sanitary sewer improvements. The successful bidder will also be responsible for ensuring all construction activities comply with the WSDOT Franchise Permit, Pierce County Right-of-Way and road closure permit(s), the Stormwater General Permit, and Pierce County Stormwater Management Manual. The successful bidder will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing phased road closures as specified herein, and SR-7 Right-of-Way work as necessary. Work shall also include all necessary design work, submittals, shop drawings, and calculations required for the Owner's submittal review procedure. Once the appropriate submittal review designation has been provided by the Owner, the Contractor will purchase and provide the structures, pipes, and fittings needed to complete the work. The Contract Time shall be three hundred and fourteen (314) calendar days from the date of the "Notice to Proceed." The award will be based on the lowest responsive bid for all described work received from a responsible bidder. Cost Range: $10,000,000-$12,500,000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
