The purpose of this solicitation is to establish a contract with one or more vendor(s) to trim all vegetation and to remove all litter around guardrails along County roadways within three (3) designated guardrail service areas. The work involves trimming of weeds and brush that are over, under, in front of, and behind the guardrails, as well as removing all litter. This contract is based on a routine five (5) week cycle (equivalent to 35 days); however, there are no guarantees as to the quantities or frequencies of services included as part of this solicitation. The County reserves the right to adjust the quantities or frequencies to best meet the needs and intent of this solicitation. The contract arising from this solicitation will commence on the first calendar day of the month succeeding approval of the contract by the Board of County Commissioners, or designee, unless otherwise stipulated in the Notice of Award Letter distributed by the County's Office of Procurement Services; and contingent upon the completion and submittal of all required pre-award documents. The initial contract term will be twelve (12) months, and then the contract will remain in effect until completion of the expressed and implied warranty period. The contract prices resultant from this solicitation will prevail for the full duration of the initial contract term unless otherwise indicated elsewhere in this document. No answers given in response to questions submitted will be binding upon this solicitation unless released in writing as an addendum to the solicitation by the Lake County Office of Procurement Services. At the date and time specified above, all proposals that have been received in a timely manner will be opened, recorded, and accepted for consideration. The names of the vendors submitting proposals will be read aloud and recorded. The proposals will be available for inspection during normal business hours in the Office of Procurement Services thirty (30) calendar days after the due date. When counter- signed by an authorized County representative, this document and any specifically identified attachments may form the contract document binding the parties to all performance specified in this solicitation. Vendors shall complete and return the entirety of this RFP, and attach all other information requested in this RFP (see Provision 1.13). Failure to sign the proposal response, or to submit the proposal response by the specified time and date, may be cause for rejection of the proposal.
