The purpose of this solicitation is to establish a contract for Swale, Ditch Digging, and Related Services in conjunction with the County's needs. This work shall take place within the rights of way of Lake County on an as needed basis. Swale and ditch digging encompasses the excavation of excess materials to the specified depth, supplying and installing sod, the removal of all debris created by this operation, and other services related to this operation. The work shall comply with all specifications within this solicitation. he Contract will be awarded for an initial one (1) year term with the option for four (4) subsequent one (1) year renewals. Renewals are contingent upon mutual written agreement. The work will include a variety of distances from short job increments to job increments with substantially greater lengths. The majority of the work will be fourteen (14) linear feet wide, however, some projects will require either smaller or wider widths. All work shall be excavated to accommodate mowing activities and equipment. The County reserves the right to make awards on a lowest price basis by individual item, group of items, all or none, or a combination; with one or more Vendors; to reject any and all offers or waive any minor irregularity or technicality in bids received.
