Site work for a municipal facility in Nags Head, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a municipal facility.
The awarded bidder is Hatchell Concrete Inc. and the award amount is $464, 975.34 During the summer of 2019, the Town of Nags Head will be conducting a beach nourishment project which will consist of the placement of approximately 4 million cubic yards of beach-quality sand from several offshore borrow sources for placement along the 10-mile project length. Dune construction will coincide with the beach nourishment work in the southern part of the project, spanning from approximately James St. to the southern Town corporate limits. The sand fence and beach grass project work is expected to be completed during the months of May 1, 2019 through September 1, 2019. The selected proposer shall successfully furnish and install sand fencing and plants along the project area in accordance with the specifications in this document and be required to source all materials, equipment and labor necessary for installation of sand fence and plantings. The Request for Proposals process will establish the terms and conditions governing the selection of the proposers to provide and install all sand fencing and plants. All statements shall be in the specified format in the Submittal Requirements section below.
