Site work and paving for a civil project in Omro, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
As of 03/27/2019 Start date has yet to be determined, and completion date is October 31, 2019. The work for which bids are asked includes the following approximate quantities: 6500 L.F. of storm sewer and laterals (2,900 L.F. 12" thru 24" RCP, 600 L.F. 23"x14" thru 60"x38" HERCP and 3,000 L.F. 4" thru 12" HDPE) and associated storm structure work; 4,600 L.F. of sanitary sewer and laterals (6" thru 8" PVC) along with associated sanitary structure work; 3,800 L.F. of water main (6" thru 8" PVC); 1,300 L.F. of water services (1-1/4" HDPE); 13,000 S.Y. aggregate base installation; 10,000 S.Y. topsoiling and seeding; 1,000 I.D. of clearing and grubbing; 5,000 S.Y. of pulverize and regrade existing asphalt pavement; 4,300 TON of asphalt pavement; 1,100 S.Y. gravel shouldering; 22,000 SF concrete sidewalk; 7,100 L.F. concrete curb and gutter; 10,500 S.F. concrete driveway approach; 17,000 L.F. of pavement marking; as well as all related work including unclassified excavation, miscellaneous erosion control, and miscellaneous traffic control. No proposal will be accepted unless accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to at least 5% of the amount bid, payable to the OWNER as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within 15 days after the award of the contract. BIDDER is required to deliver the original certified check or bid bond within the 72 hours of bid opening to MSA Professional Services, Inc., Attn: Todd M. Janssen, 201 Corporate Drive, Beaver Dam, WI 53916. The certified check or bid bond will be returned to the bidder as soon as the contract is signed, and if after 15 days the bidder shall fail to do so, the certified check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the OWNER as liquidated damages. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The minimum wages to be paid on the project shall be in accordance with Federal Davis Bacon Wage Rates. Be aware that project Administrators, Bidders, and Contractors are required to use the latest federal wage rate available at the time of bid opening. The project is funded in part by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation Local Roads Improvement Program (LRIP). This project anticipates use of Wisconsin DNR Safe Drinking Water Loan Program AND Clean Water Fund Program funding. We encourage Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs), including Minority-owned Business Enterprises (MBEs), and Womens Business Enterprises (WBEs) to submit bid proposals. If a subcontractor awards subcontracts, these requirements shall apply to the subcontractoEPA guidance for the use of American Iron and Steel (AIS) A municipality, in awarding prime contracts, and the primary engineer and primary contractor, in awarding subcontractors, are required to make a good faith effort to achieve a combined minimum goal of 15% participation for MBE/WBE utilization in accordance with s.NR 162.09(3), s.NR 166.12(4), and s.NR 167.18(4) Wis. Admin. Code. The Contractor shall conform to the Use of American Iron and Steel provision of H.R. 3547 Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2014, section 436, including all iron and steel products used in the project. Bid Proposals may be denied if the requirements of this section are not met and waivers are required. Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids.
