Bids may be hand-delivered or mailed by certified mail. Montville Township will not be responsible for any bid mailed which is lost in transit or delivered late. Bids will not be accepted after said hour.The project scope includes removing and appropriately disposing of approximately 1,800 linear feet of substandard asphalt sidewalk and constructing approximately 1,800 linear feet of new, 4 foot wide and 4 inch thick concrete sidewalk at or about the same location. The sidewalk to be replaced is along the eastern right of way of Jacksonville Road beginning at #89 Jacksonville Road, north to Orchard Drive. A certified check or cashier's check made payable to the order of the Township of Montville, or a duly executed bid bond in the amount of 10% of each bid, but not in excess of $20,000.00, must be submitted with the bid by each bidder. Bidders must comply with the following New Jersey State Statutes: P.L. 1975, Chapter 127 (Affirmative Action Program). P.L. 1977, Chapter 33 (Statement of Ownership). N.J.S.A. 40A:11-18 (American Goods and Products to be used were possible). N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.50 (Public Works Contractor Registration Act). P.L. 2004, Chapter 57, amending N.J.S.A. 52:32-44 (Business Registration Act). N.J.S.A. 19:44A-2013 (P.L. 2005,c271,s.3) New Jersey Election Law Enforcement Commission. The Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any minor informalities or irregularities in the proposal received and to accept the bid which is in the best interests of the Township.
