Saving Project...

Renovation of a mixed-use development in Malta, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a library; and educational facility.

Lump sum bid proposals will be received for this project at the scheduled time of receipt of bids and will be publicly opened at that time. Bid security in the form of a bid bond, certified check, or cash in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the base bid amount shall be submitted with the bid. Should a bid bond be submitted, the bid bond shall be payable to the Board of Trustees, Kishwaukee College. All bidders must comply with applicable Illinois Law requiring the payment of prevailing wages by all contractors working on public projects. Bidders must comply with the Illinois Statutory requirements regarding labor, including Equal Employment Opportunity Laws. It is the College's policy to promote the economic development of businesses owned by minorities, females, and persons with disabilities for certain services as provided by the Business Enterprise for Minorities, Females, and Persons with Disabilities Act, 30 ILCS575/0.01 et seq. and the Business Enterprise Council for Minorities, Females and Persons with Disabilities, and as such, these businesses are highly encouraged to participate in the bidding process. Vendors must be qualified as a BEP business at the time the response is due. The College reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof, or waive any irregularities or informalities, and to make the award in the best interest of the College. Decisions of the College will be final.
