Renovation and addition to an educational facility in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the addition of a 36,000-square-foot educational facility; and for the renovation of a 54,500-square-foot educational facility.
It is intended to award multiple prime contracts for the Work as follows: Contract No. 1 General Construction Contract No. 3 Plumbing Construction Contract No. 2 HVAC Construction Contract No. 4 Electrical Construction All Contractors must adhere to Upper Darby School District Responsible Contractors Administrative Regulation No. 610-AR-1. Bid directly to Owner as separate future bid: Contract No. 5 Environmental Abatement for Existing Building. All contractors are required to wear face masks, gloves, and observe social distancing for the duration of the walkthrough. NO additional walkthroughs will be provided. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Certified Check, money order or cashier good faith check payable to the Order of School District of Upper Darby or Bid Bond in an amount not less than 10 percent (10%) of the total bid, as security, Performance and Payment Bonds are required. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Non-Collusion Affidavit in the form set forth in the Bidding Documents. The right to waive any informality in any Bid, to reject any or all Bids or to award any Contract in the best interest of the Owner is reserved. Bidders on this Work and all subcontractors shall comply with all provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act. Bidders on this Work and all subcontractors shall comply with all provisions of the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Procurement Code for Prevention of Environmental Pollution.
