Renovation of an educational facility in East Hartford, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 14,720-square-foot educational facility.
**As of May 9,2019 project has not been awarded yet.** East Hartford Public Schools (EHPS) seeks to replace the ~13,890 square foot roofing system of the "C Building" at East Hartford Middle School (EHMS), as well as two adjacent connecting buildings of ~830 square feet each. Located at 777 Burnside Ave, East Hartford, CT, EHMS was constructed in 1954, while the last replacement of the target roof systems was 1980. This project will entail removing the entire existing modified bituminous roof down to the roof deck (including abatement of flashing material), removing unused mechanical equipment and curbs, infilling unused penetrations, replacing roof drains, framing the perimeter of the building to correct elevations to accept a new tapered insulation system, re-flashing all existing curbs, and installing insulation and a new adhered EPDM roofing system.
