Demolition, site work, new construction and renovation of a mixed-use development in Winooski, Vermont. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; for the demolition of a swimming pool; for the construction of a swimming pool; for the renovation of a swimming pool; and swimming pool.
The scope of work includes construction of a new Municipal Aquatic Facility. The project includes demolition of the current pool and deck, demolition in the filter building, selective site demolition, and selective bath house building demolition. Construction of a new competition pool, family zero entry swimming pool, new concrete deck, new fencing, filter system, site development, roadwork, rain garden (in Landry Park), and bath house building additions and renovations. Project will be municipally funded. Project is tax exempt. The Instructions to Bidders, Form of General Bid, Agreement, Plans, Specifications, Performance and Payment Bond, and other Contract Documents may be examined at the following: Weston & Sampson Engineers, Inc., Waterbury, Vermont City of Winooski Public Works Department, 27 West Allen Street, Winooski, Vermont Contract Documents may be electronic as a Portable Document Format (PDF) file for $100.00 by completing an order electronic form at portal or calling (802-865-4503). The selected contractor shall furnish a performance bond and a payment bond in amount at least equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price as stipulated in Section 00 72 00 GENERAL CONDITIONS of these specifications. All bids for this project are subject to applicable bidding laws of State of Vermont, Municipality, County, and Federal bidding laws. The municipality reserves the right to waive formalities in proposals submitted by bidders and to accept the proposals that in the opinion of the governing body is the best interest of the citizens. By submission of a bid, the Bidder agrees that this bid shall be good and may not be withdrawn for a period of 30 days, Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays excluded after the opening of bids. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities in bids and to reject any or all bids.
