Site work and new construction of a transportation facility in Staples, Minnesota. Completed plans call for the construction of a transportation facility; and for site work for a transportation facility.
**As of April 29, 2019 Project has been awarded. Award amount is $527,953.90. It is tentatively scheduled to start in August, 2019 and end in November, 2019.** Major components of the Work include: hangar building construction, earthwork, site grading, concrete/bituminous paving, and turf establishment. A pre-Bid conference will not be held for this project. Direct all questions to the Engineer five (5) days prior to opening of bids. Bid security in the amount of 5 percent of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. A Contractor responding to these Bidding Documents must submit to the City/Owner a signed statement under oath by an owner or officer verifying compliance with each of the minimum criteria in Minnesota Statutes, section 16C.285, subdivision 3. The City of Staples reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive irregularities and informalities therein and to award the Contract in the best interests of the City of Staples. Bids shall be on the form provided for that purpose and according to the Bidding Requirements prepared by Short Elliott Hendrickson Inc. The Bidding Documents may be viewed online. The estimated construction cost is $696k for the base bid and $733k for the base bid plus alternate 1.
