The proposed audiovisual systems upgrade will be limited to the upper level meeting spaces and 430 seat auditorium. The auditorium will have a new projection screen and wall mounted loudspeakers replacing existing loudspeakers. New high-definition cameras will be installed for lecture capture and streaming. At the existing lectern, a touch control system will be installed allowing simplified control of source selection or technical control from the control room. All existing recessed ceiling loudspeakers will be replaced with new recessed loudspeakers in the same locations. The control room at the rear of the auditorium will also have a new audio mixing board used for mixing live events. The audio system will include an audio digital signal processing or DSP system with (2) modes of operation, DIY or technician operated. An existing assistive listening system (ALS) will be upgraded with new infrared transmitters and installed at the same location. The receivers and headsets will be located at the front desk or control room. New wireless access points will be installed flush mount at the high ceiling of the auditorium, pre-function areas, corridors, computer labs, and lobby to the computer offices. Minimal patching and painting is anticipated and will be done where new audiovisual equipment requires in wall support and new systems connection. The successful Bidder will be required to have one of the following California current and active contractor's licenses at the time of submission of the Bid: C-07 License (Low Voltage Systems) OR C-10 License (Electrical) The work described in the contract is a public work subject to section 1771 of the California Labor Code. No contractor or subcontractor, regardless of tier, may be listed on a Bid for, or engage in the performance of, any portion of this project, unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 and 1771.1. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. PREQUALIFICATION: To be allowed to submit a bid, Bidders must have the minimum experience set forth in the Prequalification Questionnaire contained in the Bidding Documents and posted on the UCLA Online Planroom website. Bidder's completed Prequalification Questionnaire must be received at the above-listed University Contracts Administration office in a sealed envelope, or uploaded to the UCLA Online Planroom website, no later than: 3:00 p.m., April 3, 2019 The successful Bidder shall pay all persons providing construction services and/or any labor on site, including any University location, no less than the UC Fair Wage (defined as $13 per hour as of 10/1/15, $14 per hour as of 10/1/16, and $15 per hour as of 10/1/17) and shall comply with all applicable federal, state and local working condition requirements.
