Subject to conditions prescribed by the University of California, Los Angeles, sealed bids for a lump sum contract are invited for the following work: Modifications of existing air handling units (AHU)s in the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center hospital building. Work includes providing reheat coils, desaturation coils, chilled water recirculation pumps and associated piping and electrical work. The project scope also includes providing new variable speed drives for existing exhaust fans. The AHUs and exhaust fans are located on the third, roof and penthouse levels of the hospital building. The work will be performed in a continuously occupied and operating hospital. Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD) is the authority having jurisdiction on this building. Work that requires shut down of utility services must be performed on weekends and in some cases during the night hours on weekends. The scope of work also includes temporary design and provision of temporary cooling and air handling during shut down of certain AHUs serving sensitive areas. The successful Bidder will be required to have the following California current and active contractor's licenses at the time of submission of the Bid: C-20 License (Warm-Air Heating, Ventilating & Air-Conditioning) and B License (General Building) To be allowed to submit a bid, Bidders must have the minimum experience set forth in the Prequalification Questionnaire contained in the Bidding Documents and posted on the UCLA Online Planroom website. Bidder's completed Prequalification Questionnaire must be received at the above-listed University Contracts Administration office in a sealed envelope, or uploaded to the UCLA Online Planroom website, no later than: 3:00 p.m., March 12, 2021
