Renovation of a mixed-use development in Caro, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 1,120-square-foot municipal facility.
Estimated budget is $25,000 to $30,000. Tuscola County will be accepting bids on replacing stucco on the County administration building at 125 W. Lincoln ST in Caro. The following specifications shall be considered in your bid: 1. Contractor is responsible for all needed permits, drawings and must follow all local, State and Federal codes. 2. The stucco on the west side and southwest corner of the building is to be removed down to block. 3. Contractor shall replace existing tile coping with metal coping in project area. This is to match existing metal coping. Must be applied as to not void warranty of new Duro-last roof. 4. Contractor shall properly dispose of material. 5. Contractor will install new moisture barrier fluid applied to existing block. 6. Exterior Insulation Finish System shall be installed. 7. EFIS to include a drainage system with weeps and flashing to direct water to the exterior. 8. EFIS shall be installed following all manufactures recommendations. 9. EFIS color and finish matching as close as possible to remaining exterior finish. 10. There is an estimated 1,120 square feet of project area. (Contractor to verify before bidding) 11. Contractor is responsible for all necessary construction required for a finished installation of the project. 12. Contractor is to field verify measurements before beginning work. 13. Contractor shall be insured and provide copy of liability insurance and workmen’s comp. 14. Contractor shall be licensed and manufacturer approved to perform the required construction. 15. Contractor is to provide all necessary materials, and equipment. 16. All work is to be completed by qualified personnel. 17. Contractor is responsible for cleaning of the job site daily. 18. The County also reserves the right to negotiate separately with any source whatsoever in any manner necessary to attend to the best interests of the County, to waive irregularities in any proposal and to accept a proposal which best meets the needs of the County, irrespective of the bid price." By submitting a bid, the bidder is acknowledging that there will be no contractual relationship between Tuscola County and the bidder until both parties have formally approved and signed a written contract to be developed by Tuscola County legal counsel. The County reserves the right to make an award without further discussion of any proposal submitted. Therefore, the proposal should be submitted initially on the most favorable terms which the offer can propose. There will be no best and final offer procedure. The County does reserve the right to contact an offer for clarification of its proposal." *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
