Please contact Brent Dankert, Tuscola County Highway Engineer at 989-233-7472 or highwayengineer@tuscolaroad.org with any questions. Any addenda must be noted and initialed. This work shall be at various locations throughout Tuscola County or state highways under the maintenance jurisdiction of the Tuscola County Road Commission. This work shall include all necessary labor, equipment, and material to crushing an existing bituminous or sealcoat surface to the depth specified, combining this crushed material with a portion of the underlying aggregate base and where specified, blending this combined material with hot asphalt cement or Portland cement, shaping to the proper elevation and cross section, and compacting the material to achieve the required density Contractor shall provide the Tuscola County Road Commission 14 days advance notice prior to mobilize to allow for advance construction signs to be installed, shoulders to be sprayed and cut, and the proposed roadway to be staked. The contractor will be required to coordinate directly with the Tuscola County Road Commission and the selected HMA contractor or CPM contractor regarding individual project schedules. All projects shall be completed by August 31st, unless otherwise approved by the Engineer. Liquidated damages may be assessed at a rate of $100.00 per day per project, beginning September 1st.
