Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Clinton, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; water / sewer project; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The Village of Clinton will receive sealed bids for labor, material, tools and equipment necessary for the following project: Street Improvements Village of Clinton Milling Asphalt Pavement 19,000 SY Common Excavation 3,000 CY Base Aggregate Dense 8,000 TON HMA Pavement 3,600 TON Concrete Curb & Gutter 6,000 LF Concrete Sidewalk 9,000 SF Replace Storm Sewer Structure 8 EA Sanitary Sewer Spot Repair 15 EA. Actual work shall be commenced within ten (10) days after written Notice to Proceed has been issued. All bids are to be submitted in sealed envelopes, plainly marked for proper identification. All bidders must execute and file in the bid proposal a Bidders Proof of Competency questionnaire, which form is included in the contract document. The questionnaire shall be kept on file and be valid for the calendar year, subject to the Contractors status through the year. Additional blank forms of this questionnaire can be obtained from the Consulting Engineers office. Prior filing of such form with the Village of Clinton or Consulting Engineer for the current calendar year shall satisfy this requirement. No bid can be received or considered unless accompanied by a Bid Bond or a Certified Check equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid, payable to the Village of Clinton, as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and 100% Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds within ten (10) days from the date the lowest responsible bidders bid is accepted. In the event the bidder fails to file such contract and bond within the time set by the Village, the check or bond shall be forfeited to the Village as liquidated damages. The Village of Clinton reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive or not to waive any informalities in the bidding. The letting of the contract described herein is subject to provisions of Sections 66.0901 of the Wisconsin Statutes. After bids are opened, no bid can be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days thereafter.
