Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to an educational facility in Deal, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; for the addition of a educational facility; for the demolition of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.

Construct a wood frame, slab-on-grade addition with sloped wood roof trusses to the rear of the existing school. The addition contains (4) four classrooms, a greenhouse, a Guidance Office, Conference Room, Staff Lavatory and storage space. Site work to consist of a roof leader collections system, an underground storm drainage system, and relocation of existing storm piping. Mechanical system for Classrooms shall consist of ground mounted package gas-fired air conditioning units. Common area and offices shall be conditioned by an above horizontal mounted gas-fired split system with remote condensing unit. Plumbing to consist of gas piping for HVAC equipment and domestic and sanitary piping for a staff lavatory and sinks in each classroom. Electrical work to consist of new lighting, power, power reels, new distribution panels from existing electric service. New fire alarm system to be connected to existing system. Bid Security is required in the amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount indicated in the Bid, but not in excess of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00). No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for opening except with express written approval by the Owner. Requests for additional funds by the Bidder during construction for work that could have been anticipated by a visual inspection of the existing conditions prior to the submission of a Bid will not be considered by the Owner The right is reserved by the Deal Board of Education to reject any or all bids or to waive any immaterial defect or informality in any bid, if deemed in the best interest of the Deal Board of Education. Any Bid which does not fulfill the material requirements of the Bidding Documents will be rejected. When it is in its best interest to do so, the Owner may award the Contract in whole or in part, select any combination of bids, or may waive any informalities in or reject any or all bids Questions must be submitted to Architect no later than 12:00 noon on January 6, 2020
