As of January 6, 2025, the project was awarded to Precise Construction but the awarded amount is not available. Work shall consist of but not limited to the following: mobilization, excavation, removal of existing 12-inch DIP, install 392 linear feet of 24" RCP pipe, 156 linear feet of 12" HDPE pipe (all pipe quantities are approximate), one (1) Type "B" drainage inlet, one (1) drainage manhole structure, pavement restoration, connection to existing structures, backfill, site restoration, together with other miscellaneous related work. The specifications and other contract documents for the proposed work, prepared by Leon S. Avakian, Inc., Consulting Engineers, 788 Wayside Road, Neptune, NJ may be examined at the office of the Engineer during business hours. Bids must be made on the standard proposal form in a manner designated therein and required by the specifications. They shall be enclosed in an opaque sealed envelope addressed to the Board of Commissioners of the Borough of Deal bearing on the outside the name of the bidder, his address and the name of the contract for which the bid is submitted. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond for ten percent of the amount of the bid, not to exceed $20,000, drawn upon an incorporated bank or trust company, payable to the Borough of Deal, as guarantee that in case the contract is awarded the bidder, he will, within ten days thereafter execute such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond. Upon failure to do so, he shall forfeit the deposit as a partial satisfaction of liquidated damages and the acceptance of the bid will be contingent upon fulfillment of this re-quirement by the bidder. The checks of all bidders will be returned according to law. No interest shall be allowed upon any such check. Please be advised that Borough funds are being utilized in this project. The award of the contract for this work will not be made until the necessary funds have been provided by the Borough of Deal in a lawful manner. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975, c,127., N.J.A.C. 17:27 (Affirmative Action) & P.L. 1977, C-33 (Ownership Disclosure). The Contract shall be awarded, or all bids rejected, within sixty days from the receipt of bids or within such extensions of time as permitted by law. The Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all bids, or to waive informality of any bid.
