Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Deal, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and road / highway.

Work shall consist of drainage improvements, concrete curb/sidewalk, pavement milling, and paving. Work includes the following approximate quantities: 19,000 square yards of pavement milling, and 1,950 tons of hot mix asphalt material, 6,600 linear feet of concrete curb, 840 square yards of concrete sidewalk and driveways, drainage improvements, together with miscellaneous related work items. Bids must be made on the standard proposal form in a manner designated therein and required by the specifications. They shall be enclosed in an opaque sealed envelope addressed to the Board of Commissioners of the Borough of Deal bearing on the outside the name of the bidder, his address and the name of the contract for which the bid is submitted. Bids must be accompanied by a certificate from a surety company stating that it will provide the specified performance and maintenance bonds in the event that the contract is awarded to the bidder. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond for ten percent of the amount of the bid, not to exceed $20,000, drawn upon an incorporated bank or trust company, payable to the Borough of Deal, as guarantee that in case the contract is awarded the bidder, he will, within ten days thereafter execute such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond. Upon failure to do so, he shall forfeit the deposit as a partial satisfaction of liquidated damages and the acceptance of the bid will be contingent upon fulfillment of this requirement by the bidder. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975, c,127., N.J.A.C. 17:27 (Affirmative Action) & P.L. 1977, C-33 (Ownership Disclosure). The Board of Commissioners reserve the right to reject any and all bids, or to waive informality of any bid. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
