The work included in this contract consists of the proposed work: bathroom renovations, selective demolition, rough carpentry,concrete slab on grade, plumbing and sanitary fixtures, drywall and backer board, wall and tile flooring, painting and finishing, hung ceiling installation, lighting and electrical, and any related miscellaneous or incidental construction included in the plans and specifications of the above-mentioned project. They shall be enclosed in an opaque sealed envelope addressed to the Mayor and Commissioners of the Borough of Deal bearing on the outside the name of the bidder, his address and the name of the contract for which the bid is submitted. Bids must be accompanied by a certificate from a surety company stating that it will provide the specified performance and maintenance bonds in the event that the contract is awarded to the bidder. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond for ten percent of the amount of the bid, not to exceed $20,000, drawn upon an incorporated bank or trust company, payable to the Borough of Deal, as guarantee that in case the contract is awarded the bidder, he will, within ten days thereafter execute such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond. The Contract shall be awarded, or all bids rejected, within sixty days from the receipt of bids or within such extensions of time as permitted by law.The Mayor and Commissioners reserve the right to reject any and all bids, or to waive informality of any bid. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
