Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Wadsworth, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

**As of 05/01/2019, the project was not yet awarded yet. The timeline for award is not yet estalished. The work covered by the plans and specifications includes furnishing all labor and the noted material for construction of sidewalk and curb ramps along Stratford Avenue from College Street to Rosalind Avenue and Sunset Boulevard from Waverly Avenue to Maylawn Avenue. The lowest and best bidder for this contract shall be the bidder whose bid is determined by the City to be the lowest and best bid for the option and any alternatives selected by the City. The City shall have the sole right to select the option and any alternative or combination of alternatives that best suits the needs of the City. Each bid shall be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked "D03 SRTS Wadsworth, Contract 2015-413" and addressed to and delivered to the Director of Public Service, City of Wadsworth, City Hall, 120 Maple Street, Wadsworth, Ohio 44281. Each bid must be submitted on the form provided by the City in the bid book and must be fully completed and submitted intact. Each bid shall contain the entire bid book with all addendums. Each bid must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting it. Additional requirements and conditions are described in the bid book. Purchase of a bid book from AABlueprint is required to be considered for this project. Each bidder shall be required to file with its bid, the following: 1. A bid guarantee in the form of either: a. A bond in substantially the form set forth in section 153.571 of the Ohio Revised Code issued by a surety company or corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Said bond shall be the full amount of the bid, or b. A certified check, cashier's check or letter of credit pursuant to Chapter1305 of the Ohio Revised Code. The amount of the certified check, cashier's check or letter of credit shall equal 10% of the full amount of the bid and the Successful Bidder will be required to submit a bond in the form provided in section 153.57 of the Ohio Revised Code in conjunction with the execution of the contract. Said bond shall be issued by a surety company or corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. 2. A Non-Collusion Affidavit 3. A Statement of Bidder Resources and Experience All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable use Ohio Products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor's Executive Order of 1972, and Governor's Executive Order 84-9 shall be required. Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on public improvements in Medina County, Ohio as determined by the Ohio Department of Commerce, Division of Labor and Worker Safety, Wage and Hour Bureau. Domestic steel use requirements as specified in section 153.011 of the revised code apply to this project. Copies of section 153.011 of the revised code can be obtained from any of the offices of the department of administrative services. No bidder may withdraw a bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof except as provided in section 9.31 of the Ohio Revised Code. The City of Wadsworth, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notify all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that any contract entered into pursuant this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award. A DBE Contract goal of 5% has been established for this contract. The bidder shall make good faith efforts as defined in Appendix A and 49 CFR Part 26, to meet the Contract goal for DBE participation. The City of Wadsworth reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive irregularities therein.
