Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Fayette, Alabama. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The principle items of said work are as follows: Remove unsuitable material and replace with Superpave Bituminous Concrete Upper Binder Layer, Patching, 1 maximum Aggregate Size Mix as directed by the Project Engineer. Place Superpave Bituminous Concrete Wearing Surface Layer, 1/2 Maximum Aggregate Size Mix at a rate of 165 lbs/SY over the entire project. Place striping in accordance with the attached drawing. The Contract Documents and Plans may be examined at the City Hall, Fayette, AL, and at the office of LP Engineering in Fayette, AL. The owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids, and to award the contract to the best and most responsible bidder. All bidders must comply with requirements of the Contractor's Licensing Law of the State of Alabama and be certified for the type of work on which the proposal is submitted. Each bidder must deposit with his bid, security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Instruction to Bidders. Envelopes containing bids must be addressed as follows, and delivered to Mayor Ray Nelson, City of Fayette, 203 Temple Avenue N, Fayette, Alabama 35555: FAYETTE CITY PARK PARKING LOT RESURFACING PROJECT No bidder may withdraw his bid within 30 days after the opening thereof.
