Plans and specifications are for viewing purposes only and in order to be considered an official bidder contractors must obtain plans and specifications from Goodwyn Mills & Cawood Inc. To Relocate Fence at Richard Arthur Field Airport. Major items of work include: Remove and Replace Terminal Area Fencing. Each proposal must be accompanied by a bid guaranty in the amount of five (5) percent of the total amount of the bid, but not to exceed $50,000. The bid guaranty may be by certified check or bid bond made payable to the City of Fayette. All Bidders bidding in amounts exceeding that established by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors must be licensed under the provisions of Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, and must show evidence of license before bidding or bid will not be received or considered by the Engineer; the Bidder shall show such evidence by clearly displaying the license number on the outside of the envelope in which the Proposal is delivered. Bids may be held by the City of Fayette for a period not to exceed ninety (90) days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of evaluating bids prior to award of contract. Award of contract is subject to requirements in the contract documents including, but not limited to, the following Federal provisions: 1) Buy American Preference 2) Civil Rights - Title VI Assurances 3) Davis Bacon 4) Debarment and Suspension 5) Disadvantaged Business Enterprise 6) Foreign Trade Restriction 7) Recovered Materials The City of Fayette, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award. The City of Fayette reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality or irregularity in the bids received.
