For Bleacher Additions, Replacements and Alterations for All Fayette County Schools- Fayette County High School, Hubbertville School, Berry High School, and Fayette Middle School Work will consist of maintenance and repair of telescoping bleachers and stadium plank bleachers, and provide and install safety straps for basketball backstops for a majority of the schools in the County School System; full replacement of telescoping bleachers at the Fayette County High School gymnasium; and provide and install new aluminum plank Seating on an existing concrete step system at Hubbertville School stadium home side bleachers. A certified check or Bid Bond Payable to the Fayette County Board of Education in amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000.00, must accompany the bidder's proposal. Performance and Payment Bonds will be required at the signing of the contract. Bids must be submitted on proposal forms furnished by the Architect, or copies thereof. All bidders bidding in amounts exceeding $20,000.00 must be licensed under the Provisions of Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama 1975. No bid may be withdrawn after scheduled closing for receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive technical errors if, in the Owner's judgement, the best interests of the Owner will thereby be promoted. All work shall be complete and ready for use not later than 120 days after date established in the Contract for Construction.
