The work shall consist of the construction of the underground electric system including the cutting and removal of existing pavement, sidewalk, and substructures; furnishing, installing, and concrete encasing PVC conduits; excavating for, furnishing and installing precast pullboxes, handholes, and padmount pads; grounding; trenching; backfill; compaction; retaining walls around electric structures; traffic control (including signs and barricades); work around energized primary and secondary conductors; temporary paving; permanent pavement; and everything called for in the specifications whether specifically mentioned in this paragraph or not. The City of Burbank reserves the right to add to, or delete from, the Quantities of this contract at any time. This project is subject to prevailing wages. No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for a public works project (submitted on or after march 1, 2015) unless registered with the department of industrial relations pursuant to labor code section 1725.5 [with limited exceptions from this requirement for bid purposes only under labor code section 1771.1(a)].
