This project is financed with $500,000 of Drinking Water State Reserve Program (DWSRP) funds (50% of project costs), with other funding provided by the County. After Bids are opened, the Owner shall evaluate them in accordance with the methods and criteria set forth in the Instructions to Bidders. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all Bids. Unless all Bids are rejected, Award will be made to the lowest responsible Bidder, taking into consideration quality, performance and the time specified in the proposals for the performance of the Contract. The Project consists of the following major items: 1. Caustic feed system: replace double walled insulated tank, feed pumps and lines. 2. Alum feed system: replace double walled insulated tank, feed pumps and lines. 3. Chlorine system: replace chlorine detection and alarm system. 4. Chemical and chlorine feed and storage rooms: remove unused equipment pads and install new wall opening. NC contractor's license with limitation and classification; indicate if the firm will be a Bidder, Supplier or Sub-Contractor. Bidders will be required to show evidence that they are licensed to perform the work in the Bidding Documents as required by NC General Statute, Chapter 87 and the Instructions to Bidders. Bid Security in the amount of five percent of the Bid must accompany each Bid and shall be subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. Any contract awarded under this Advertisement for Bids is expected to be funded in part by a loan/grant from the State of North Carolina. Neither the State or Federal Government, nor any of their departments, agencies, or employees is or will be a party to this Advertisement for Bids or any resulting Contract.
