Renovations at Fresno City College for Design Science High School to include classrooms, office spaces, and cafeteria. The project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). Pursuant to Labor Code DIR established a Contractor Registration Program, in which no contractor or subcontractor shall bid on, be listed in a bid, or engage in the performance of any public work contract without being registered. Prime Contractor must have a valid Class B Contractors License. Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier''s check, or a bidder''s bond in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of total bids made payable to Fresno Unified. The substitution of appropriate securities in lieu of retention amounts from progress payments in accordance with Public Contract Code Section 22300 is permitted. Upon Issuing Office's receipt of payment, printed Bidding Documents will be sent via the prospective Bidder's delivery method of choice. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the prospective Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.
