Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Buffalo, New York. Working plans call for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field.
Park improvements will include the removal of the existing tennis courts and construction of a new inclusive playground, an event space / winter market area, new walkways, and a new restroom building. The playground will feature accessible design elements including a gently sloping sidewalk to upper play elements, along with modern playground surfacing (artificial playground turf). The restroom building will include three single-occupancy accessible restrooms, as well as provisions for use during winter. The building features durable siding and roofing materials. New site lighting (as an alternate) and security camera conduits are also planned to enhance safety. Modifications to portions of the existing parking lot where it abuts new sidewalks are necessary. New stormwater drainage features will be added, and site landscaping will be refreshed through the removal of select brush and trees; new trees and plantings may be added. As of August 2026, the project is going through the plan review process.
