Site work, renovation and addition to a medical facility in Saint-Jerome, Quebec. Working plans call for the addition of a 222,375-square-foot, two-story above grade, one-story below grade medical facility; for the renovation of a 48,975-square-foot medical facility; for site work for a medical facility; and medical facility.

Addition and repairs to the Hospital building. The scope of the project includes construction of an addition - Surgical Technical Platform that will house all operating areas of the facility including four operating rooms, three coronary care beds, eight intensive care beds, eight stretchers in the recovery room, and 22 day-surgery stretchers, a room for ophthalmic surgery and two rooms for endoscopy. The scope of the project also includes addition and renovations to the Hospital Block T and to the Food Service department of the Hospital. The project will be done in one phase that will allow to do it in a shorter timeframe. The project may be implemented following conventional mode with a general contractor or in a turn-key method. TIMELINE: Project design is ongoing. The owner has increased the project scope, budget and included it under the number 250 into the list of major project of the Quebec Treasury Board Secretariat. Working drawings are expected to begin in late fall/winter 2025. Timelines of a tender and construction are being finalized. Notes: - The firm Les Services Exp Inc was awarded to provide commissioning services for the project. - The construction program of the Hospital Renovation will further include a 2nd construction phase involving upgrading the facilities to accommodate the mother-child-family centre, integrated cancer centre, emergency department, and inpatient units. Maintenance and renovation work to bring the existing building up to code is also planned. This phase will be covered in a new separate report when it proceeds to a design stage. The importance of the province's budgetary effort for the completion of all the work related to this construction program may be as high as $450 million.
