Estimated Cost : $200,000 - $250,000 This project will consist of roadway overlay on Green Street and reconstruction on West Ridge Avenue. Work on Green Street is to include bituminous milling, placement of 117 tons of 9.5 mm bituminous scratch coat, and placement of 3,508 S.Y. of 9.5 mm bituminous wearing course. West Ridge Avenue scope of work is to include excavation of old roadway and subgrade, installation of new 6" 2A stone subbase, 5" of 25 mm bituminous base course, and 1 1/2" of 9.5 mm bituminous wearing course. Items for sweeping and preparation, tack coating, utility adjustments and joint sealing around curbs, manholes, inlets, and valve boxes will be incidental to the project. Bids will be administered via PennBid.The successful bidder who is awarded the contract will be required to pay "PennBID" a fee in accordance with their established fee schedule. A complete set of contract documents is available for review at Sellersville Borough Hall. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to the Borough of Sellersville. All current Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Standards and Specifications will prevail over all standards and specifications included in this contract. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price with a corporate surety approved by the Owner. Award of Contract, if a Contract be awarded, will be to the lowest responsible bidder, but the Owner reserves the unqualified right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities. The work in connection with this project constitutes a Public Works by a Public Body project. Bidders are advised that prevailing minimum wage rates, as set forth in the Contract Documents, must be paid to workmen employed on this project. In addition, the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, or disability
