This project will consist of the removal of the existing concrete culvert/pad and 30" CMP along the north side of the alley. Installation of a DW headwall with trash rack, new Type-M inlet with Type D-H inlet box, approximately 235' of 48" RCP storm pipe, DW endwall, and rip-rap apron. Erosion control will also be included as part of the contract. Stabilization and Bracing of the existing utility pole will be considered incidental to the contract. A $10,000 allowance has been included in the contract in the event there are unforeseen changes to the scope of work. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to the Borough of Sellersville. All current Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Standards and Specifications will prevail over all standards and specifications included in this contract. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price with a corporate surety approved by the Owner. The work in connection with this project constitutes a Public Works by a Public Body project. Bidders are advised that prevailing minimum wage rates, as set forth in the Contract Documents, must be paid to workmen employed on this project. In addition, the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, or disability.
