Renovation of a water / sewer project in Delta, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The 12 Avenue Pump Station Replacement project is the second phase of the Boundary Bay Road Stormwater Management Improvements. Replacement of the pump station is required as the existing infrastructure and equipment has come to the end of its life. A new pump station will improve both routine drainage function and function in the event of a natural disaster such as a flood or earthquake. The scope of work includes but is not limited to; Decommissioning and removal of the existing pump station and associated infrastructure; Ground improvements; Construction of a new pump station and housing infrastructure with necessary electrical controls; Installation of four (4) new pumps; New intake structure; New outlet structure with a viewing deck; Raising of the dike; Construction of a temporary gravel pathway; Environmental services for in-stream works; and Supply and maintenance of a temporary pump. The existing pump station is located on Boundary Bay Dike which is accessed from 12 Avenue and Boundary Bay Road. The main access to Boundary Bay Dike and Boundary Bay Regional Park from 12 Avenue and Boundary Bay Road shall be closed to the public for the duration of the project.
