Site work and paving for a transportation facility in Jacksonville, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility; and for paving for a transportation facility.

This project can be generally described as the Concrete Rehabilitation of the center 50-foot wide keel section on both ends of Runway 18L-36R. The Runway is 12,504 feet long and 200 feet wide. The Runway 36R end consists of 5,000 feet by 200 feet wide of Portland Cement Concrete (PCC) pavement and Runway 18L consists of 500 feet by 200 feet wide of PCC pavement. This project will consist of the complete removal and reconstruction of each slab in the center 50-foot width of these sections. The keel replacement provides the rehabilitation of the central and most critical portion of the Runway used by the design aircrafts main gears. This allows the Runway to properly serve the airport for at least another 20 years. The Runway 18L-36R pavement markings will be replaced, as-is. Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the base bid will be required to accompany bids. Contract Bonding shall also be required. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities in bidding. Participation in the Disadvantage Business Enterprises Program (DBE) is required. The goal for this contract is fifteen percent (15%) to be performed by certified DBE firms. This project will be bid as a single contract. Bid prices may be held for up to 90 days. All bids must be submitted in accordance with Project Manual for Contract No. C-826 which may be examined in the Jacksonville Aviation Authority Administration Building Office, or obtained from: Attn: Sue Finney AVCON, Inc. 8001 Belfort Parkway, Suite 200 Jacksonville, FL 32256 sfinney@avconinc.com. It is the sole responsibility of each prospective bidder to assure that the Office of the Manager, Engineering & Construction, is kept informed of his or her current mailing address, telephone number and fax number.To ensure you are apprised of changes to project requirements and receive all Addenda, you must be on the Plan Holders List with AVCON.
