The estimated construction cost is between $900,000 to $1,000,000. The project involves the demolition of an existing structure, and the installation of approximately 1,300 linear feet of new three-lane roadway with curb and gutter, a 10 multiuse path, and storm drainage facilities on new alignment, including a new traffic signal at the intersection with South Sterling Street, and traffic control. Project contract and performance of work shall be in conformance with the North Carolina Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Roads and Structures, January 2018 Edition. All bids must be accompanied by one of the forms of bid security listed in the Bid Summation, references of previous similar projects, and the applicable Affidavit A or B of the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise ( DBE / MBE / WBE ) forms included in the bid packet. Failure to include these items with the bid proposal may be deemed as non-responsive. No bids shall be received after the above-stated time. Federal Funding has been secured to finance this project. Consequently, the wage rates included in the bid packet in the Bid Proposal section must be met by the Contractor for this project. Davis-Bacon requirements shall be enforced for this project and interviews shall be conducted by the administering agency. Three originals of the bid documents shall be delivered to the City by the awarded Contractor for inclusion in and execution of the Contract Documents.
