Site work for a water / sewer project in Morganton, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Burke County and Burke Soil and Water Conservation District is requesting proposals from experienced vendors that specialize in stream rehabilitation. The scope of work and all other details and requirements are included in the attachments. Questions are due Friday, February 3, 2023, at 2:00 pm local time. All questions should be directed by email to: brian.nieft@burkenc.org. Work will consist of stream bank stabilization, which will stop the erosion of the creek as determined by the Project Inspector. Bidder should include in the bid the cost of a state licensed engineer to do design, no-rise study, and all necessary permitting for this project, engineer should be familiar with stream bank stabilization techniques. Engineered design should be submitted to the Burke County Soil and Water Office for staff to review before construction can begin. Work should be completed in a manor that minimizes impact on the surrounding environment. When work is finished, any disturbed areas must be seeded and mulched, or live staked.
