Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Alexandria, Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
Includes a 2 mi long, 12 ft diameter storage and conveyance tunnel; multiple deep shafts; two large, below-ground pumping stations; the significant expansion of the 0.5 mi long Hooffs Run Interceptor sewer; and two diversion facilities. The major elements of the project include tunneling, earthwork, concrete, trucking, miscellaneous metals, asphalt and concrete paving, striping, landscaping and wetland restoration, as well as numerous finish trades within the Tunnel Dewatering and Wet Weather Pumping Station.
