A timeline for award has not yet been established.** This project is proposing installation of new conduit, fiber optic cables, and required equipment to provide a broadband communication network to traffic signals and future technologies. The project is funded by a federal-aid Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Program (CMAQ) grant and, therefore, must comply with all applicable federal and state laws and requirements, including any Title VI Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) requirements as identified by the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) Deadline for Receipt of Vendor Questions February 7, 2023 The Contractor must achieve Substantial Completion within five hundred forty-eight (548) Calendar Days after receiving the Notice-to-Proceed Each bid must be accompanied by a certified copy of the bid bond from a surety company acceptable to the City and authorized to do business in the Commonwealth of Virginia, properly executed in favor of the City for not less thanfive (5) percent of the amount representing the bid or sum total noted in Section B. The successful bidder shall be required to deliver to the City a performance bond and a payment bond, properly executed by a surety company acceptable to the City and authorized to do business in the Commonwealth of Virginia, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the respective Contract amount.
