This Contract provides for the construction of the Dayton Street Stormwater Pump Station Project. The Work includes, but is not limited to: select demolition and removal; roadway rehabilitation of the roadway with crushed surfacing and hot mix asphalt; construction of cement concrete sidewalks, curbs, and gutters, a new 9.4 cubic foot per second (cfs) (4,233 gpm) duplex submersible stormwater pump station, approximately 200 feet of 18-inch diameter and force main, 25 feet of 24-inch-daimeter gravity storm drain, a backflow prevention device, stormwater systems, including manholes, catch basins, valves, and valve vault, and other electrical appurtenances including an electrical service cabinet, control panel, permanent standby emergency generator, transformer, electricallines, and junction boxes; joint utility trench including conduits and utility vaults, traffic control, property restoration, and miscellaneous work all in accordance with the Contract Plans, these Contract Provisions, and the Standard Specifications. A certified check, cashier's check or bid bond in the amount equal to at least five percent of the total amount of bid, including sales tax if applicable, must accompany each bid as evidence of good faith and as a guarantee that, if awarded the contract, the bidder will execute the contract and give payment and performance bonds as required. The check will be given as a guarantee that the bidder shall execute the contract in conformity with the contract documents ifit is awarded to him and. shall, provide payment and performance bonds as specified therein within ten calendar days after notification of the award of contract to the bidder. The City of Edmonds reserves the right to reject a ny or all bids, and to waive irregularities or informalities in the bid or in the bidding. No bidder may withdraw his bid after the hour set for the opening thereof or before award of contract, unless said award is delayed for a period, exceeding sixty calendar days.
