Stephenson County is requesting proposals for a contractual relationship with a vendor that will provide an uninterruptible supply of Electricity to nine (9), County owned buildings and/or facilities. These facilities include the Stephenson County Courthouse, Stephenson County Public Safety Building, Stephenson County Nursing Center, Stephenson County Jail, Stephenson County Health Department Building, McConnell Bobtown Boat Landing, the Kent Monument and the All Veterans Memorial Park (Comed Account Numbers: 2734235004, 2313128015, 2230295004, 2230273008, 1987396002, 1891641009, 1891480006, 1362112017 and 0013139056) all located in and around Freeport, Illinois. Stephenson County currently purchases electricity from one supplier with annual consumption of approximately 3,500,000 kilowatts. Stephenson County is looking to obtain a contract for a more cost efficient supply of electricity. The County desires a one, two or three year agreement. The service startup date is anticipated to be on or before December 31, 2019. Stephenson County reserves the right to accept or reject any and all responses to this RFP. Stephenson County also reserves the right to enter into discussions and/or negotiations with one or more qualified proposers at the same time.
