Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Freeport, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; for site work for a water / sewer project; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
The project consists of improvements at two sanitary lift stations - the Laurel Street Lift Station and the Galena Avenue Lift Station - as well as the Carroll water tank site, and consists of equipment removals; electrical upgrades (power distribution, controls, and SCADA integration), backup generator installation, site removals, hot-mix asphalt pavement replacement, concrete/drive and sidewalk replacement, site grading, erosion and sediment control measures, and all related appurtenances and restoration as shown in the plans. Question Deadline 09/17/2025 All bids must be accompanied by a bank check, cashier's check, certified check, or bid bond payable to the Owner for ten percent (10%) of the total amount of bid. A pre-bid conference will not be held for this project, but questions can be directed to Fehr Graham's Project Manager Darin Stykel at (815) 235-7643 or dstykel@fehrgraham.com five (5) business days prior to bid opening. Bidders are encouraged to make an appointment with Darin Stykel to review the lift station sites prior to bid opening. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set for in the Contract Documents must be paid on this project and that the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. The City of Freeport reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the City of Freeport for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids. Doc Note : Bid documents may be obtained from the Engineer's website at www.fehrgraham.com. Upon accessing the website, Bidders will see a drop-down titled Connect. Select, "Obtain Bidding Documents" in that drop-down. Clicking this link will take Bidders directly to the Network Service and will display all projects available for bid through Fehr Graham. On this page, project ads will be listed in the left-hand column with project numbers assigned by displayed. Potential Bidders can enter the in the field provided to view the full ad for the City of Freeport - Lift Station Rehab and Electrical Upgrades and download a complete set of bidding documents from this page for a nonrefundable fee of $25.00. Hard copies of the bid documents may also be obtained and examined from the office of the Engineer at 101 West Stephenson Street, Freeport, IL 61032 upon receipt of cash or check in the amount of $300 for one set (non-refundable). Overnight mailing of Bidding Documents will not be provided.
