As of July 3 the project is set to be awarded on July 15 council meeting Each bidder is required to furnish with his proposal, a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. When the total overall project exceeds $27,309, all bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Ottawa County and the Village of Genoa, Ohio, as ascertained and determined by the Administrator of the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services (OBES) as provided in Section 4115.05 through 4115.034 of the Revised Code of the State of Ohio. It is anticipated that the Prevailing Wage Law will apply to this project. The Council of the Village of Genoa, Ohio, reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject any or all bids.
