Site work and renovation of a civil project in Galva, Kansas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Project is Work includes furnishing all the labor, materials, and equipment for the improvements at the wastewater lagoon facility, forcemain piping, and wastewater lift station. The general overall project improvements include construction staking; mobilization; erosion control; 35.5 acres of grass seeding; corrosion resistant liners, telemetry, and all other incidental and appurtenant work required to complete the improvements as shown and specified. Work includes furnishing all the labor, materials, and equipment for the wastewater lagoon facility improvements. The improvements include approximately 103,042 cubic yards of common excavation, approximately 99,478 cubic yards of earthwork compaction, 2,199 linear feet of 12-inch PVC lagoon piping, 255 linear feet of 12-inch DIP lagoon piping, 2,170 square yards of gravel surfacing, one influent structure, 4 transfer structures, 5 distribution manholes, 9,721 square yards of rock riprap slope erosion protection on Cells 1, 2 and 3, 4,477 linear feet of woven wire fencing, trenching; backfilling; over excavation; compaction; concrete work; site grading; gravel surfacing and all other incidental and appurtenant work required to complete the improvements as shown and specified. Work includes furnishing all the labor, materials, and equipment for the wastewater force main improvements. The improvements include 2,310 linear feet of 6-inch PVC sanitary force main and all other incidental and appurtenant work required to complete the improvements as shown and specified. Work includes furnishing all the labor, materials, and equipment for construction of the main wastewater lift station and demolition of the existing wastewater treatment plant. The improvements include installing a permanent backup generator for the new lift station; installation of a new submersible packaged lift station (Gorman Rupp) and concrete wet well; modification of the influent box, metering manhole, 12-inch PVC gravity sewer piping, site earthwork, electrical site work; piping; bypass pumping, and all other incidental and appurtenant work. Work includes furnishing all the labor, materials, and equipment for installing 9,721 square yards concrete slope erosion protection on the sides of the primary treatment lagoon cells, therefore deleting riprap slope erosion protection. A pre-bid conference will not be held. Bid Security will be required in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Bidder qualifications may be required in accordance with Instructions to Bidders. Contract time will be set in accordance with the Agreement. OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive irregularities in bidding. This project is funded in part by a loan from the United State Department of Agriculture - Rural Development (USDA-RD) . Bidder's attention is called to compliance with the USDA-RD funding requirements. Bidders on this work, including subcontractors or vendors, will be required to comply with the President's Executive Order No. 11246. Section 746 of Title VII of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2017 (Division A - Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2017) and subsequent statutes mandating domestic preference applies an American Iron and Steel requirement to this project. All listed iron and steel products used in this project must be produced in the United States. The term "iron and steel products" means the following products made primarily of iron or steel: lined or unlined pipes and fittings, manhole covers and other municipal castings, hydrants, tanks, flanges, pipe clamps and restraints, valves, structural steel, reinforced precast concrete, and construction materials. The deminimis and minor components waiver apply to this contract Any questions regarding the Bidding Documents should be directed to Engineer.
