The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supplies, and supervision of labors necessary to complete the work. This project includes the following approximate total quantities: 11,246 square yards of ODOT 254 Pavement Planing, 390 cubic yards of ODOT 448 Asphalt Concrete Surface Course, Type-1H, PG 70-22; 547 cubic yards of ODOT 448 Asphalt Concrete Intermediate Course, Type-1, PG64-28; and other items all as shown on construction plans and specifications prepared by the Office of the Elyria City Engineer. The City of Elyria, Ohio has been notified by the Ohio Public Works Commission that we have received a grant for this project. The bid must be accompanied by a bid guaranty. The bid guaranty must meet all requirements of Section 153.54 of the ORC and the Instructions to Bidders. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable, use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of this project. Domestic steel use requirements as specified in section 153.001 of the revised code apply to this project. Copies of section 153.001 of the revised code can be obtained from any of the offices of the department of administrative services. The contractor will have until November 15, 2019 to complete the work. The contractor and any subcontractor must comply with the prevailing wage rate requirements on public improvements in Lorain County and the City of Elyria, Ohio, as determined by the Ohio Department of Commerce, Division of Industrial Compliance and Labor, Bureau of Wage and Hour Administration (614) 644-2239. All work shall be carried out in compliance with all federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations that apply to the work. Any project specification item in conflict with a federal, state, or local law, rule or regulation, shall be void.
