The Intent of this Invitation for Bid (IFB) is for the County of Loudoun, Virginia (County) to obtain the services of a qualified General Contractor to construct the DC United Training Site located at Bolen Park in Leesburg, Virginia. The bid shall encompass the completion and acceptance of the entire project as specified in this Invitation to Bid. The project includes construction necessary to prepare the subgrade for a future athletic training facility. The site will ultimately be used for the future construction of soccer fields, a training facility building, and associated parking lots. The site contains a segmental block wall and geogrid reinforced soil slopes as well as storm sewer pipes and a sanitary sewer line. The approximate area of disturbance will be 21.5 acres as included in the Contract Plans and Specifications prepared by Dewberry Engineers Inc., The costs associated with the removal of any and all unsuitable soils and/or rock encountered below subgrade (as defined in Specification 312000), during the construction of this project shall be borne by the County. The County requests that the Contractor provide unit prices for unsuitable soils removal and rock removal.
